What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a brand new way to pay, and Bloomingdale’s is proud to be one of the first stores to feature it!

Here’s how it works:

  • Add your credit or debit cards to the Passbook app on your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus.
  • Visit your favorite Bloomingdale's store and shop!
  • Use Apple Pay at checkout—hold your iPhone near the payment pad reader with your finger on Touch ID™.
  • Wait for the vibration & beep to let you know payment is complete.
  • Provide your signature if your total comes to more than $25.
  • It’s that easy!

Which mobile devices support Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices.

Are there any fees for using Apple Pay?

No, it’s free!

Is Apple Pay safe and secure?

Absolutely—it’s just as secure as paying with a credit or debit card. With Apple Pay, your credit or debit card numbers are never shared or transmitted with payment. It’s secure, safe and easy.

Can I add my Bloomingdale’s Credit Card to Apple Pay?

Right now, Bloomingdale’s Credit Cards and Bloomingdale’s American Express® Cards cannot be added to Apple Pay. Only Visa, MasterCard and American Express® cards are compatible.

Can I use Apple Pay online, on my mobile device and in Bloomingdale’s stores?

Not yet! At this time, Apple Pay can only be used in Bloomingdale’s stores.

Can I use Apple Pay for all Bloomingdale’s transactions?

The following in-store transactions accept Apple Pay:

  • Purchases
  • Returns & exchanges

Right now, the following in-store transactions do not accept Apple Pay:

  • Bloomingdale’s Credit Card or Bloomingdale's American Express® Card payments
  • Big-ticket items (indoor and outdoor furniture, mattresses and rugs)

Can I use Apple Pay with my Bloomingdale’s account and the bWallet feature?

Not at this time.

Do I still get a receipt?

Yes—you can choose a printed or emailed receipt.
