Return policy for Bloomingdale's Outlet Store Purchases

Outlet Stores Returns and Exchanges:

  • Merchandise may be returned or exchanged at any Bloomingdale's Outlet Store within 30 days of purchase.  (However, given holiday gift-giving, merchandise purchased from November 7-December 24th may be returned or exchanged at any Bloomingdale's Outlet Store within 90 days of purchase).
  • Merchandise purchased at a Bloomingdale’s Outlet Store can only be returned or exchanged at a Bloomingdale’s Outlet Store.
  • The original sales receipt or gift receipt must accompany returned or exchanged merchandise, with the original tags still attached to the merchandise.
  • Only an original sales receipt or gift receipt provides the necessary information to process the return or exchange.
  • Fine Jewelry must be returned at the outlet store in which it was purchased, with original tags still attached to the merchandise.
  • Women’s dresses will only be accepted for return if original tags are still attached.
  • Merchandise that has been altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.
  • Returns with the original receipt will be credited to the same form of tender used for purchase.
  • Returns with a gift receipt will be credited to an EZ Exchange card. Returns may always be credited to a customer’s Bloomingdale’s charge.


Fraud Protection:
Thank you for helping us protect you from credit card fraud. We are only able to accept American Express, Discover, Master Card, and Visa cards with functioning magnetic strips. If your card cannot be read electronically, we may ask you to provide us with another form of payment. For your protection, we verify identification for credit card purchases at all Bloomingdale’s locations.

Manufacturer Warranties:
Copies of manufacturer warranties are available. Please ask an associate for more information.

Purchases When Clearance Items are Identified on the Receipt:
Items marked as clearance are final sales and may not be returned.

Returns Where a Debit Card is Credited:
A credit will be requested the same day for returns of purchases made by debit or bank card.  Credits will post to your account in accordance with card issuer policies.

Purchases Where a Debit Card is Tendered:
Please present your debit card along with your receipt for all returns of merchandise purchased with a debit card.

Purchases When a Visa Gift Card is Tendered:
Please present your Visa Gift Card(s) along with your receipt for all returns of merchandise purchased with a Visa Gift Card.

Returning Items Paid For By WORRYNOMORE® Voucher:
Merchandise that is returned will forfeit WORRYNOMORE Voucher.

Returning Items Paid For By Electronic Check:
For all returns of purchases made by check within 3 days of the original transaction, a mailed check may be issued.

Returning Items Paid For By Paper Check:
For all returns of purchases made by check within 7 days of the original transaction, a mailed check may be issued.

California Recycling Fee:
In California, certain electronic products are subject to an electronic waste recycling fee. This fee is required by the state of California.
