How do I return an item purchased on bloomingdales.com?

Introducing Label-Free at The UPS Store Returns

No printer needed! Just package your items (including the original packing slip, if you have it). Follow these simple steps:

  • At step 3 of the Return process click "Label-Free at The UPS Store"
  • Submit your return
  • Once submitted you will receive a QR code via email and on the return confirmation page
  • Your initiated return will provide you a unique QR code
  • Take your package to your closest UPS Store
  • Present your QR code to The UPS Store employee for scanning
  • The UPS Store will take your package, complete the return shipping process, and provide you with a confirmation receipt
  • Once bloomingdale's receives and processes the returned item(s), we will promptly issue your refund

Free Return Options

Free returns every day for online orders! You have 90 days from the date of shipment to return your online purchase in saleable condition either by mail or to a local Bloomingdale's store. Some departments, such as Designer Apparel and dresses, have special return guidelines.

Returning to a Store

  1. Visit your local Bloomingdale’s store (Bloomingdales.com purchases cannot be returned to a Bloomingdale's The Outlet store.)
  2. Bring your order invoice (make sure the bar code is attached) and the item you wish to return.
  • No receipt? We'll credit your Bloomingdale's account. No Bloomingdale's account? We will issue a merchandise credit. If you do not have a receipt and did not use your Bloomingdale's card, you will receive the lowest selling price in the last 180 days
  • Any of our sales associates would be happy to process your return.
  • Once you make your return, we will process your return credit immediately. However, depending on your bank's processing time, it may take a few days to reflect on your account. We will email you at your provided email when your return has been received and your credit processed.

Returning by Mail

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign in to your Bloomingdale's account OR enter your order number on the Easy Returns page
  2. Click the "Return Items" button, fill out the form, then verify and submit your return.
  3. Print out the confirmation page and shipping return label(s).
  4. Include the confirmation page inside the package along with the invoice. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box (each label can be used for one return only)
  5. Take the package to any UPS drop-off location

Returning a Gift by Mail

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Look up your order and select the "Yes" button next to the "Is this order a gift?"
  2. Enter your zip code and click the "Find My Order" button.
  3. Click the "Return Items" button, fill out the form, then verify and submit your return.
  4. Print out the confirmation page and shipping return label(s).
  5. Include the confirmation page inside the package along with the invoice or gift receipt. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box (each label can be used for one return only)
  6. Take the package to any UPS drop-off location

Gifts returned by mail without an invoice or gift receipt cannot be processed and will be returned to the sender.

Additional Information

  • Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
  • For returns without a receipt, we may require you to provide your name and address, unless we have it on file. We may use your name and address for our security and marketing purposes. Please be assured that any information you provide will be handled in accordance with our customer privacy policy. Our Notice of Privacy Practices is available here. Please note that any returns for items sold and shipped by a third-party seller must be mailed back to the seller. Refunds will be processed once the seller has received the merchandise. Most refunds are processed within 5-10 days. Store associates can assist with your return at bHelpful; returning items in store will not expedite your refund.
